Four years after Billboard revealed the official debut tune with Jauz, “Rock The Party”, and embarking on a quest to create “Something new and fresh”, Ephwurd has not stopped hyping main stage dance floors across the planet. The innovative fast-paced bass wubs contributed to the forging of an entirely new Dance Music genre. Since its inception, the Los Angeles Based project has collaborated with and remixed some of EDM’s biggest names like the Bloody Beetroots, Major Lazer, DJ Snake, and The Chainsmokers. Ephwurd has headlined the biggest festivals in the world and rocked mainstages at EDC Las Vegas and Lollapalooza to seas of energized fans. And now, as the shape and sound of Dance Music evolves, the project continues to lead the charge. In 2017, Ephwurd launched Eph’d Up Records and began introducing the world to innovative new tunes and future classics. Since then, the label has released an arsenal of originals like “Money” featuring Fatman Scoop, “Phunky Beats”, and “Accelerator”. Massive collaborations like “Hectic” with Swage, and “Check it Out” with ATRIP have made Eph’d Up one of the most exciting labels on the rise. In May of this year, Ephwurd joined forces with the legendary Bloody Beetroots to produce “Wildchild”, and in June the G-House originator ANGELZ conspired with Ephwurd on “Heat”, which is slated for release on Spinnin Records this summer. Both tunes promise to be ultimate Festival Anthems for a long time to come. From growing up as the son of a Grammy Award winning Father to being turned on to old school synths and keyboards by Aphex Twin, every formative musical experience in Ephwurd’s life has prepared him to transform the project into something fresh and electrifying. As he pushes into a new era of sound, the project will, once again, forge a path for everyone to follow.
